BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY

Provides cost-effective routine technical Environmental service to project areas. Under supervision, ensures compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations. Work includes ensuring regulatory and quality standards compliance for environmental issues. Performs routine assignments under moderate supervision, requiring knowledge of environmental principles, theories and concepts. Assists EHS leadership in addressing environmental, health and safety related issues as directed with primary focus being environmental compliance and risk mitigation and control. Provides support to the Business Units and Corporate Departments to assist in compliance with environmental regulations and Devon's EHS Protocols and Programs.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in an EHS related field

EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience (environmental experience preferred)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the provision of cost-effective EHS guidance and recommendations to operations as they strive to operate properties at a maximum economic rate while complying with EHS regulatory requirements and Company EHS Standards

• Assist in EHS incident investigations, reviews and training sessions

• Assist field personnel with ensuring contractor compliance with Devon EHS Standards

• Participate in Pre-Project Environmental Assessments, job inspections and facility inspections

• May assist in the representation of the Company in trade associations to promote the Company's position related to EHS and learn about other companies' activities that may benefit the Company

• Interface with federal and state/province agencies, i.e., OSHA, EPA, DOT, state/province Environmental/Safety Agencies, etc. as required

• Understand and provide operations support for a variety of environmental compliance requirements including air, water, environmental impact, endangered species, and waste management

• Teams with Business Units and Corporate Departments in development and execution of EHS Protocols and programs

• Leads the development, gathering and maintaining environmental data for routine reports, metrics and regulatory documents

• Maintains EHS communications and postings at applicable locations

• Reviews and provides support for management of air permits, SPCC plans and assists with regulatory requirements of shipping and receiving hazardous materials

• Provides environmental support for employees traveling to field locations and to Devon's operating areas

• Conducts environmental orientation for new employees

• Assists in developing, gathering and maintaining environmental data for routine reports, metrics and regulatory documents

• Develops and gives presentations to varied audiences

• Promote and demonstrate the Devon and EHS Employee/Leadership attributes

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred

• State of Wyoming oil and gas industry air, water and waste permitting/compliance experience preferred

• Federal air, water and waste permitting/compliance experience preferred

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, and ability to research them

• Practice safe work habits at all times

• Advanced Level computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

• Live in or be willing to relocate to the local operating area as required by the Company

• Able to travel, including overnight travel on short notice, as required (approximately 25%)
