What you'll be doing...

Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements:

+ Envision, architect, document, and support the security plan for Verizon Cloud Platform's API development and the use of the Verizon Cloud.

+ Create documentation for the Platform API's security governance, compliance, and identity and access management.

Data Security:

+ Evolve a strong plan for data sovereignty, data remnants, internal threat analysis, regulatory compliance, and the security related to "bring your own device" to the cloud concepts (VNFs).

Verizon Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security:

+ Operating System, OpenStack, and node level firewall management, threat identification/remediation, configuration management, integrity monitoring and regulatory compliance.

Cloud Application Security:

+ Identification of tenant validation requirements, discovery/verification of critical vulnerabilities for tenants, creation and management of tenant vulnerability reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory compliance.

Legal & Compliance:

+ Ensure that supplier provided software and services meet requirements for Verizon's regulatory environment.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or four or more years of work experience.

+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.

+ Experience in data services engineering.

Even better if you have:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 10 or more years of experience in the Network Security Industry.

+ Strong Linux security skills, Operating System and OpenStack level.

+ Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

+ Strong knowledge of security related issues for IP Networking, VPNs, Firewalls, and DNS.

+ Vendor management skills.

+ Experience automating repetitive tasks.

+ Experience working with solutions at scale.

+ Experience with OpenStack solution architecture.

+ Willingness to enhance team learning environment by providing and encouraging mentorship and technical leadership.

+ Experienced system architecture and design.

+ Contributions to open-source projects.

+ Security Industry Certifications (CISSP, CEH, and CCSP).
