This position includes the following responsibilities:

+ Actively research financial reporting requirements and prepare Delta's Securities and Exchange Commission financial filings including Forms 10-K and Forms 10-Q as well as the related XBRL tagging;

+ Perform month-end close processes for certain judgmental accounts, primarily related to Delta's investments in other airlines;

+ Support financial aspects of the quarterly earnings release and any other externally reported financial information including non-GAAP reconciliations;

+ Assist department management with internal and Audit Committee presentations;

+ Maintain current financial reporting documentation and create new documentation as necessary to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements;

+ Coordinate with other Delta divisions to ensure cross-functional understanding of external reporting requirements;

+ Research new GAAP requirements and present implementation recommendations to department management;

+ Proactivley assist Delta's internal and external auditors, as necessary, to ensure an efficient and effective audit process;

+ Consult with other Delta divisions on judgmental or unusual accounting matters; and

+ Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Required job qualifications include: (1) undergraduate degree in business or accounting; (2) 4+ years public accounting experience, preferably Big 4, Grant Thornton or BDO Seidman, or a combination of similar industry experience with a public company; (3) licensed CPA; (4) experience with SEC financial reporting and disclosure matters; and (5) excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The candidate should also possess a proven ability to work in a team environment and should be detail-oriented, deadline-focused and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
