Job Description

Job/Task Description:

This internship will help investigate various technologies for engine combustion and emissions aftertreatment to achieve SULEV-30 tailpipe emissions on a V8 PFI engine. The intern will contribute to this project by coordinating the built-up and utilization of the various technologies on the target engine, coordinating and conduction engine emissions testing, as well as emissions data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results with an assessment of the most cost efficient combination of technologies required to achieve the emissions target.

Preferred Skills and Background:

Experience with engine analysis tools such as Inca, ATI and Indicom

Hands-on experience with automotive technology

Interest in combustion and emissions

Existing experience working in an academic or industrial research environment Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Pursuing a degree Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with at least one semester completed

Graduate student or PhD class standing

Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
