Position Description APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM, SO APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.



RELIGIOUS STUDIES, PART-TIME LECTURER POOL- The Religious Studies Minor program in the Philosophy Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during the Fall, Winter and/or Spring quarter of the 2018-2019 academic year, which begins September 13, 2018. Teaching assignments are contingent upon budget and enrollments. Responsibilities and duties may include teaching general education courses such as "Abrahamic Religions," Monotheism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and "Religion, Gender and Society."



Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only)



Required Qualifications / Specialized Skills A Master's or ABD in Religious Studies is required. Applicants must document excellence in teaching at the college or university level.



Preferred Qualifications / Skills Ph.D. in Religious Studies preferred.
