Lecturer in Architectural Science

As part of this investment we wish to recruit an exceptional candidate for a Lecturer post in Architectural Science - a discipline in which Sheffield has a long and strong academic tradition. You will have an excellent research track record of high quality publications (on track to be submitted to REF 2021), and to have established your own research theme. As a future member of People, Environments and Performance (PEP) research group, you will be working closely with colleagues to develop the international research standing of the School. Highly numerate, you will possess a PhD (or equivalent relevant experience) in Architectural Science or a closely allied subject (e.g. physics, engineering), and will be able to demonstrate experience in developing a portfolio of research activity, experience or interest in delivering learning and teaching and the ability to develop, manage and enhance a teaching programme. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in one or more of the following: • Adaptive comfort and/or behaviour and related modelling techniques. • Building energy simulation (at building, urban or national scales) and related workflows. • Characterisation and modelling of urban metabolism.
