You'd be encouraged to specialise in the things you enjoy most. Want to learn React? Great. Want to stick with a traditional LAMP stack but start sharpening your Front-End skills? No problem! Training budgets are made available for all staff and with the bespoke nature of projects, custom stacks are often the norm. You'd be joining a multi-award-winning Music & Experiential Technology provider with teams in both the UK and the US - all working remotely. Their recent awards include 'Best Place to Work UK 2017' and 'Best Employee Engagement 2018'. Massive, £multi-million Innovation & Experiential projects for some of the most recognisable brands on earth. As a Full Stack Developer, you will have a huge amount of autonomy and freedom of choice in your approach. Their current stack often changes to suit the nature of projects and client needs; however, they have a core stack (LAMP) along with ongoing React/React Native projects and an internal MVC-Lite CMS. Where is this role going to take you? * You will research and create cutting-edge (for example) Music, Visual & Bot/AI products. * Huge 2019/2020 innovation roadmap to immerse yourself in. * Budgets available for training, meet-ups, conventions - etc... * Travel opportunities (if of interest). Most recent was one of their Developers flying to NYC to demonstrate and help roll out his new React App for a huge international client. * EMI scheme - shares are distributed across the staff, every year- This has already seen a Developer earn approximately £150k worth of shares in 1 year (all provided under the Entrepreneurial Tax Relief scheme which ensures any eventual dividends are taxed at a mere 10%, as opposed to 40%) . * The CEO has an open-door policy for salary-review/role-review requests. If you need/want something that you feel is relevant to your career progression - the CEO is ready to listen and assist! The current stack and upcoming projects. Innovation projects: One of the key contributors to their rapid success has been their market-beating innovation. From in-store React Native driven experiences - all the way to Music Playlist Bots and heavily customised RaspberryPi rollouts for thousands of global stores, hotels and leisure chains. As a result, the company are keen to continue this stream of innovation and will be dedicating a large amount of time/budget to new features, products and solutions in 2019/2020. Client-project Delivery: With enormous brand names continuing to sign up for their bespoke solutions, there will be numerous new projects that materialise over the course of the next 12 - 24 months requiring complex, scalable solutions to be designed, developed and deployed. The tech: On a typical day - you'll operate within a relatively traditional LAMP stack however, we're incredibly keen to strengthen the JS side of the team. Namely React and React Native. Also, if it appeals to you, there is the C++ hardware side of the business (RaspberryPi Engineering). Most of the team operate as Full Stack Developers with their own preferences for Front/Back End work. The ideal experience (not all essential): * The client is open to both PHP and/or JS Developers (preferably React/Native if JS is your preference). * Experience with modern deployment techniques would be ideal. * Experience producing incredibly clean code is essential. * Understanding of OO principles is also highly beneficial. * JavaScript and integrating frontend frameworks into a PHP app. * Any experience of creating bots or SaaS products would be great!
