An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the School of Biological Sciences as the QUADRAT DTP Coordinator.

This critical role will be responsible for managing and providing high level administration to support the delivery of the QUADRAT DTP. The QUADRAT DTP focuses on management of the natural environment and brings together research and teaching centres of excellence in biological science and geoscience from the University of Aberdeen (UoA) and Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) and a broad network of collaborating end-user and stake-holder groups to provide a transformative platform for PhD research and training.

The ability to work well as part of a team is important as is independent, standalone initiative. You will be responsible for taking an active role in working with team across both UoA and QUB, developing and updating resources, meeting deadlines, liaising with prospective and current postgraduate research students, coordinating internal and external events, devising training and development programmes. You will also be responsible for forecasting and reporting on PGR funding and finances within the DTP.

You will be educated to degree level and have a proven track record of excellent communication and planning skills, preferably in the higher education sector and involving the research environment. Experience in postgraduate research related administration is also an advantage.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 salary scale (£27,831 - £31,302 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This post is available immediately and is a full-time post.
