Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Science and Technology Studies seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow to cover the following module in the first term of the 2019-20 session:

HPSC0105 Sociology of Science and Technology

For this course the work consists of approximately 7.3 contact hours per week, including the teaching of the undergraduate module above, completion of marking in a timely fashion, undertaking administrative duties associated with the module, and contributing to the academic life of the department.

The appointment will be for 4 months, beginning 15th September, on a 0.2 FTE basis. This is a fixed term contract; no renewal is planned.

Key Requirements

Candidates must have a PhD, or be close to submission, in a relevant field. They must have experience in undergraduate teaching, including development of lecture and tutorial materials, and must show the range of interests and skills necessary to supervise students.
