Water Innovation Hub Outreach and Dissemination Manager
We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering for an enthusiastic individual who will play a critical role in delivering outreach and dissemination activities for the TWENTY65 consortium. TWENTY65 is an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded initiative dedicated to solving the grand challenge of clean water for all. Including 5 departments from 3 faculties in Sheffield, and with 5 other leading UK Universities and over 70 industrial partners, the initiative aims to conduct collaborative, transformative socio-technical research in 8 theme areas, all coordinated through a central Hub at the University of Sheffield. The Hub provides a mechanism to engage the water sector widely through Thought Leadership Clubs to co-produce knowledge, generate a roadmap, and enable multiple avenues of research, dissemination and innovation thereby bringing our vision of tailored solutions to provide sustainable water for all to fruition. www.twenty65.ac.uk As the TWENTY65 consortium is now in its 4th year, a number of research outputs are being produced. This post will support wide dissemination of these outputs and results to different groups of stakeholders to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact of the research work. The role will entail working with consortium co-investigators and partners to develop and refine outputs, stakeholder engagement and liaison, event and workshop planning and delivery, dissemination through industry and academic channels ,and updating materials on the consortium website. It is essential that you have a relevant certificate or degree (or equivalent experience), along with experience of graphic design, publishing, website design and related fields. You must have the ability to assess and organise tasks and resources, to plan and progress work activities, and plan, design and deliver collaborative meetings to achieve a desired goal. Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team are also essential attributes. A broad knowledge of developments and challenges in the water sector, and knowledge and experience of research collaborations between academia and industry are desirable but not essential.
