Due to current state of the business, this highly successful company that provides various professional asbestos and environmental services to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking to employ a high calibre, enthusiastic and commercially focused Asbestos Operations Manager in Yorkshire and will include applications from West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, the individual must come from a strong technical, management, operational, asbestos, construction, removals, commercial, office surveying, sales and educational background. Must have an in-depth knowledge of asbestos management and legislation pertaining to asbestos. Must have significant experience working within this role and within the asbestos industry. Must have excellent communication, organizational, people management, leadership, presentation and client facing skills. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package. Key Responsibilities: Managing the asbestos department. Overseeing and supporting the asbestos team/staff that is commercial, operational, Health & Safety and others. Managing work force - delegating work as per requirement. Getting involved with Quality Control (audits), Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Estimating. Ensuring that the work carried out is in accordance with the legislation and company requirements. Getting involved with the operational and management side of the business which includes: Training of staff and appraisals. Visiting sites - Auditing and Inspection of work carried out. Providing information and advice to clients with regards to legislation. Ensuring that customers are satisfied - liaising with the company's mixed portfolio of clients appropriately and effectively. Controlling the financial side of the business - clients - profit and loss. Ensuring that the business runs effectively and smoothly. Attending meetings as and when required and dealing with other issues. Communicating with staff and management. Ensuring that all contracts are completed within time line.
