In Vivo Scientist We are currently looking for an In Vivo Scientist, to aid in our client's goals, to build a healthier, safer world. This is a permanent opportunity to join one of the UK's most reputable pharmaceutical companies. The Role It's an exciting time to join our client's Pharmacology and Translational Sciences team. We are looking for an In Vivo Scientist to contribute to the overall success of our clients immuno-oncology portfolio. The primary function of this role will be to design and direct in vivo studies for testing novel antibody immunotherapies. As an In Vivo Scientist your main responsibilities will be: * Act as an in vivo pharmacology lead for Immuno-oncology (I/O) projects and serve as in vivo representative on other cross function project teams to provide scientific input and present data * Work and present data to project team (cross-function). Produce end of study reports to support internal decision making and regulatory filing * Work with the project leads to design and execute pre-clinical in vivo and ex vivo pharmacology work supporting Kymab's I/O projects * Run In house in vivo efficacy, PK and PD studies * Manage in vivo work at external CROs when needed * Perform ex vivo analysis (FACS, transcriptomic, cytokine analyses) * Stay up-to-date with relevant scientific literature associated with the projects and cancer in vivo modelling * Work with the in vivo team to develop and characterise new models to support project advancement as necessary * Troubleshoot assays and models as well as develop innovative experiments to answer key questions * Provide lab support to other team members when required Experience and Qualifications To apply for this role, you will have the following experience and qualifications: Essential: * MSc. / PhD in immunology and/or oncology related area or equivalent experience in an industrial setting * Home office license 1-4 modules or several years of in vivo work in the field of oncology or immunology * Possess outstanding experimental skills, as well as a willingness to perform bench work * High level of skill and experience performing in-vivo procedures with murine models including xenograft and syngeneic tumour models. In vitro skills including: Tissue culture expertise (cell line and primary cells including immune cells), FACS (multiparameter, panel development), mRNA (QPCR, NGS) and cytokine analysis are also key. * Good communication and presentation skills * Strong motivation and team spirit * Ability to multitask and work to deadlines Preferred: * Knowledge of pre-clinical and clinical immuno-oncology developments * Track record of successful research back up by good publications (peer reviewed publications, oral presentations, posters, or patents) To Apply To apply for this role, simply apply to this advert, or alternatively you can send your CV and quote the job title and location.
