KA/164376/2 - Application Scientist - French & German Speakers Needed - 1 Year Contract - Cambridge, UK A couple of new contract opportunities have become available with a market leading diagnostics company specialising in a niche sector of the industry. They require 2 Technical Application Scientists (one French & one German speaker) to join their customer service and support team based out of Cambridge for a 1 year fixed term contract. As a Technical Application Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting the field service engineers and sales professionals. You will be tasked with troubleshooting, providing scientific advice and managing relationships with customers across the UK and France or Germany (depending on your language skills). This gives you the opportunity to work for a company with an international presence whilst also having a strong name associated with your profile, making you more attractive to other diagnostic companies in the future. Key Requirements for this Technical Application Scientist position include: * A PhD/Masters/BSc within a biology or science related discipline * 3-4 years of experience within a customer facing position * Hands on experience working within a laboratory * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Fluency in either French or German * Candidates must be based close to Cambridge, UK or have the ability to relocate to the region Preference will go to candidates who are available to begin a new contract position at short notice.
