For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Stein, Switzerland we have an exciting opportunity. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and be responsible to provide quality oversight to commercial testing activities by applying for the position as Associate Principal Scientist 80-100% (m/f/d).
Key responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing of manufacturing associated samples and DP under cGMP regulations for clinical and commercial material
- In scope are e.g. environmental monitoring, water testing, sterility testing, bioburden testing, bacterial endotoxins testing and other microbiological tests according to demand
- Assist in method testing/implementation/evaluation/validation, writing/updating/reviewing/approving of QC related documentation
- Provide training for procedures, test methods and raw data review
- Liaise with partner units within Lonza DP network to ensure on-time delivery of project milestones and smooth continuation of the production
- Ensure effective use of resources, maintenance of equipment, order of safety and health protection
- Support installation and (re)qualification of instruments according to Lonza SOPs
Key requirements:
- Academical degree or apprenticeship in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
- Significant working experience in pharmaceutical industries and cGMP controlled environment
- Good working knowledge in all relevant microbiological techniques
- Very good reporting and scientific skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English, German is an asset
