Customer Insight Analyst

We are looking for a Customer Insight Analyst to join the Analytics & Pricing team of a well-known Insurance company based in Manchester City Centre.

You'll be responsible for producing campaign selections, analysis, reporting, statistical models and clear insights needed to support customer and marketing strategies.

The Role 

  • Query large databases to extract and manipulate data that is fit for purpose.
  • Perform detailed and insightful analysis to solve complex business problems and / or to gain a deep understanding of various business dynamics.
  • Deliver regular management information and insight on specific KPIs relating to performance.
  • Provide analytical support for the marketing plan in terms of campaign data selections, analysis, testing, profiling, propensity modelling and reporting.
  • Identify and progress new data-driven opportunities in the areas of customer acquisition, upsell, cross-sell and retention.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in key areas such as Marketing, Digital, Product and Risk & Compliance.
  • Help junior members of the team overcome technical challenges and contribute to the wider analytics community.

Candidate Background

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of a range of statistical techniques and concepts e.g. logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, machine learning, uplift modelling.
  • High level of competency in MS Office - particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 

Desirable

  • Educated to MSc level in a numerical discipline.
  • Previous experience of running marketing campaign data selections and performing pre and post campaign analytics
  • Experience of building, implementing and monitoring statistical models used for commercial purposes.
  • Previous experience of BI tools such as Tableau.
  • Previous experience of analytical and statistical tools e.g. SAS, R, Python, Emblem.
  • Confidence in presenting technical information in a variety of ways to clients and colleagues
