Are you ready to realize your potential? The Position This individual is responsible for the day-to-day waste handling and support of inspection readiness for all waste systems in the facility. Under general direction, support facility compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety and health regulations. This position is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Relationships Reports to: According to the organizational chart Number of subordinates with direct/indirect referral: n/a Essential Functions Collection, labeling, storage, and shipment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams under the direction of an onsite EHS professional Execute waste disposal and recycling programs within compliance while recommending ideas for reducing volume and costs Perform compliance inspections for Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) accumulation areas and waste treatment Perform periodic inspections of emergency response systems and equipment Conduct Workplace Assessments and determine corrective actions to mitigate risks Issue Hot Work permits in accordance with site policies Investigate minor accidents or incidents under the direction of an onsite EHS professional Support continuous improvement of EHS programs, management systems, and compliance documentation Collect data for management/environmental reporting at the direction of supervisor Other duties as assigned Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb, kneel, reach, and walk. The ability to push, pull, and lift. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions including: noise, inside and outside conditions including temperature changes; atmospheric conditions including: odors, fumes, and dust.
