The Intelligent Energy Systems Lab at Institute of Software Technology at TU Graz has an opening for a

 

Postdoc Position (m/f/d) in the area of machine learning and model predictive control for intelligent buildings and energy systems

40 hours/week, for 2 years, starting presumably in October 1st, 2022

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The researcher will work on computational methods for smart energy systems with a focus on machine learning based Model Predictive Control (MPC). The research topics include MPC for buildings and smart energy systems, physical informed Machine Learning, hybrid co-simulation, and the  integration of energy services in IoT frameworks. The post-doc researcher will also be involved in supervising (PhD) students.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed master's or degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or an equivalent degree
  • Domain knowledge in budlings, smart energy systems, …
  • Experience in Model Predictive Control
  • Experience in machine learning
  • Experience in Python

We offer a minimum annual gross salary based on full-time of € 56,861, overpayment possible depending on qualification and experience.
