Description: Purpose of Role:
o The primary purpose of this position is to provide discipline engineering support to Modifications and Projects, ensuring design and installation are completed in line with specifications and regulations.
MAE/MATTE and HSE Critical Responsibilities:
o Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally prudent manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, Harbour Energy HSEQ procedures, Asset specific Performance Standards and Engineering Standards.
o Responsible for defining equipment/system specifications, requirements and philosophies for new equipment
o Responsible for managing performance and quality of design Contractors' SI&E delivery
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
o Provide discipline support to UK Projects; specifically Talbot & Affleck
o Review Contractor's technical deliverables and actively participate in relevant design reviews; LOPAs, HAZOPs etc.
o Responsible for continuously challenging technical solutions, engineering performance, schedule attainment and cost of Contractor scopes.
o Provide input to Functional Safety (FS) Activities and support updates to key FS documents as required.
o Provide input and strategic guidance throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of SI&E systems, including brownfield and subsea interfaces.
o Ensure integration between topside and subsea SI&E systems has been appropriately considered between multiple SI&E contractors
o Responsible to provide budget input/scope review for detail design activities including any Variation Order Requests (VORs)
o Responsible for the review and response, including facilitation with Technical Authorities for contractor Technical Queries, Deviations, and Concessions
o Monitoring of key system integration activities throughout manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Extended FAT (EFAT) and Integrated FAT (IFAT) including site attendance as necessary.
o Mobilisation offshore as required throughout Execution phases inclusive of hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning & start-up.
o Adhere to contract management processes and ensure vendor delivery is robustly managed for any assigned contracts.
o Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
Critical Skills Qualifications Experience, etc.:
(Indicate either preferred or essential.)
o Degree educated with an applicable engineering discipline.
o Professional registration (Chartership) with relevant engineering institute preferred.
o Understanding of processes required to meet HSE objectives. Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment
o Relevant project management training/qualifications preferred.
o Ability to self-direct and manage multiple work fronts
o Strong communication skills working with multiple stakeholders and internal/external interfaces
o Good influencing, negotiating and networking skills. Builds excellent relationships. Respected internally and externally
o Significant project and engineering experience, including start-up and commissioning
o Significant EPC experience, including brownfield/subsea SI&E interfaces
o Set ambitious, yet realistic goals and targets, and consistently achieve these.
o Self-driven. Strong personal leadership and drive toward teamwork. Ability to perform effectively within a strong peer group and to drive toward optimal business solutions
o Awareness of Harbour Energy HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS)
o Awareness of Harbour Energy Values & Business Principles
