Senior Mechanical Engineer - Medical Devices

Description

A unique role has become available for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who will focus on the design of functional parts of complex medical devices. You will be based on site in Cambridge and work with teams around the globe, however not much travel is expected.

You will be working very closely with industrial design and human factors design teams, so knowledge of these areas will be important. Essentially, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a successful track record working with industrial, human factors or creative designers.

Ideally, you will have worked on medical devices in the past, however if you could have worked on consumer products also. Knowledge of injection moulding functional parts and devices would be advantageous but not essential.

As your focus will be on the functional design of medical devices, it would be really good if you have ever worked with regulatory affairs or quality assurance specialists to deliver a successful product.

The projects you will work on can range from small projects where you will work on your own to large projects that you will work within a team delivering a product from cradle to grave. Due to the times, you will work on your own, you will still be able to work on design fundamentals from your first year of university.

You will be rewarded with an excellent career path, salary, pension, skills training (keeping your knowledge at the forefront of the industry), bonus, relocation (when needed) and other benefits.

This is a role that will continually challenge you, so I expect a lot of interest. If you are interested in this role I suggest you make an application straight away or risk missing out.
