Visiting Assistant Professor and Visiting Lecturer of Finance
The Department of Finance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Lee Business School invites applications for two positions: Visiting Lecturer and Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance, for the upcoming academic year, starting in August 2022. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective teaching and preparing students for success in a multicultural business environment. The duties of these positions include: � Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including our Master of Science in Quantitative Finance (MSQF) program. � Typical load: four courses per semester. � Participating in research activities. � Performing appropriate departmental and college service activities. Requirements: � For the Visiting Assistant Professor position, a doctoral degree from an accredited university in related fields is required, but doctoral students who are at an advanced stage of their study, such as ABD, will be considered. � For the Visiting Lecturer position, we expect the candidate to have 1) a master�s degree from an accredited university in related fields, and 2) a related professional designation such as CFA or at least five years of significant experience in business or consulting. � Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. ABD candidates applying for the Visiting Assistant Professor position are expected to be making strong progress towards completing their PhD. � The candidates for both positions must be able to work legally in the United States.
