Abstract

The monotypic noctuid genus, Hyalobole WARREN, 1911,(type species : Hyalobole orthosioides WARREN, 1911) has hitherto been known only from Darjeeling, East Himalaya. The following two known species of Agrochola are transferred to Hyalobole : H. phaeosoma (HAMPSON, 1906), comb. nov., from West Himalaya, and H. albimacula (KONONENKO, 1978), comb. nov., from the Maritime Territory of Siberia. Redescriptions and collecting records of the three known species are given, and a new species, Hyalobole changae, is described from Taiwan.
