Abstract

The article offers a look at the actions taken by the U.S. the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which hit New Orleans, Louisiana in August 2005. Various people criticized the insufficient experience of FEMA Director Michael Brown for the inefficient performance of FEMA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The history of the emergency responses of FEMA is also explored.
