Abstract

In these days the world is connected as never before. Thanks to globalisation there are new opportunities for education, progress in science, research and innovation as well as for the application of innovative ideas into practice. The article discusses experience from Czech universities in the area of the expansion of mobility, creativity connected with educational systems and of possibilities and the need to connect academic environment with practice. It supports the idea that aims in education, science and research limited by the EU Innovation Union may with no doubts increase competitiveness in different areas of life.
