Abstract

Coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath are all asthma symptoms. However, having one or more of these problems does not necessarily mean you have asthma; they all can be symptoms of other conditions. Health care providers often suspect asthma based on such symptoms, but to truly confirm the diagnosis, you should be tested.
