The Subfig Package

Abstract

This article documents the LaTeX package subfig, which provides support for the inclusion of small, sub, figures and tables. It simplifies the positioning, captioning and labeling of such objects within a single figure or table environment and to continue a figure or table across multiple pages. In addition, this package allows such sub-captions to be written to a List-of-Floats page as desired. The subfig package requires the caption package by H.A. Sommerfeldt and replaces the older subfigure package.
