Abstract

The performance of the devices prepared by ESDUS could reach that by the spin-coating method not only the EL device shown in section 3.1 but the polymer photovoltaic cells. [6] We demonstrated the separate-coating. with a pixel resolution and layer-by-layer deposition of polymer films by ESDUS method. Notably the layer-by-layer deposition was carried out by use of the dilute THF solution of each polymer. This method will enable to innovate the polymer EL with the stacked layers designed for transportation of each carrier or emission as the conventional multi-layer EL of the vacuum deposited small molecular layers. It will be a powerful tool for the development of high performance polymer devices.
