Current State and Future Prospect of Microstructure Control in Steels

Abstract

A review on the current state of principles and methods in microstructure control covers the outline of structures control in thermomechanical treatment, the extreme target and problems in grain size refinement, problems encountered in thin slab continuous casting and problems accompaying with higher degree purification in the current days steel-making. The necessity of re-acknowledgement and active utilization of principles and phenomena found in the past reviewing from the current view points is emphasized.
