Abstract

Two new types of oxindole alkaloids, salacin and 3-oxo-7-hydroxy-3,7-secorhyn-chophylline, have been isolated from the Thai medicinal plant Uncaria salaccensis. Their structures and syntheses are described. © 1990, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
