Abstract
In the last years, one focus of Brazilian foreign policy has been south-south cooperation. Among them, the relationship with Portuguese speaking countries has taken an important role, at least in the official speech. This texts examines the real importance given by Brazilian government to Portuguese speaking countries since the beginning of CPLP.
