Abstract

Responds to the reply of E. T. Isometsaë and J. K. Loennqvist (see record 1999-03091-020) to the commentary of L. O. Ogundipe (see record 1999-03091-019) regarding the article by E. T. Isometsaë and J. K. Loennqvist (see record 1999-00253-015) that investigated the sensitivity of a history of previous suicide attempts and deliberate self-harm as an indicator of suicide risk. The authors note that terminological problems regarding parasuicide and standardisation issues limit the ability to make comparisons and generalizations based on the findings of others.
