Introduction: The implantation of the European Space of Higher Education has supposed a great opportunity in order that the universities rethink and analyze in a more exhaustive way the professional profiles of each one of the qualifications that offer. With the purpose of knowing where were working the psychopedagogy graduate, and with the intention of identifying and defining new job profiles of these professionals we realize this work of graduates' follow-up in psychopedagogy in the University of La Laguna (Spain), which results we show in the report present. Method: 130 professional participants in this investigation were polled telephonically by 20 minutes approximately, for the completion of a questionnaire of 16 items relative to the labor situation, the received university education and the needed professional competences. Results: The results reveal a high labor insertion and the emergence of new professional profiles in out-of-school contexts. Likewise there is demanded a formation more according to these new working places. The formation received in the qualifications of psychopedagogy is valued competent but insufficiently. Discussion y conclusiones: In the study of the professional competences in psychopedagogy have chosen to include: a) the corpus of theoretical and scientist knowledge derived concerning the discipline; b) the analysis of the tasks recovered in the working place; and c) study of follow-up of graduates that allows to identify new emergent profiles. The set of three dimensions allows to approach the professional competences prospectively and not only from what is or what is done in the working place. © Education & Psychology I+D+i and Editorial EOS (Spain).
