ADVANCED VISIONS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING STRATEGIES ACROSS ENERGY WATER AND ENVIRONMENT SYSTEMS

Abstract

This editorial provides an overview of twenty scientific articles published in the special issue of Thermal Science. The papers were selected from among 601 contributions presented at the 14th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES 2019), held October 1-6, 2019 in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The topics covered in the special issue include: Energy savings in the building sector; Advanced combustion techniques and fuels; Combined heat and mass transfer of fluid-flow; and Sustainability issues in industrial and power plants: challenges and viable solutions. The editorial also emphasized the papers recently published in the Special Issues of leading scientific journals dedicated to the series of SDEWES Conferences.
