Abstract
The paper gives an illustration on the concept, features, functioning and other basic problems of institutional repositories and establishes the concept model of institutional repositories. An analysis of the six major momentum factors determining the institutional repositories development and the interaction of the impetus factors of institutional repositories development are also touched upon. © 2007 by International Federation for Information Processing.
