Computer systems contribute to service management at 3 levels: strategic; operational; and personal. Also discusses government requirements for authorities to publish performance indicators to their tenants on a regular basis. The true beneficiaries of improved service provision are the tenants and applicants themselves. Whatever the policy of the authority the support of its tenants is vital.
