Abstract

The article discusses archaeological research and restoration that was conducted by independent historian Michael Gibbons at an early Christian monastery in Ireland called Skellig Michael. Gibbons worked in a region of the site called the South Peak, and restored several crumbling structures. The Skellig Michael site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
