Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the relative effectiveness of psychosocial therapies, compared to other treatments or no treatment controls, to overcome psychological sequelae of sexual abuse in children and young people up to 18 years of age. Secondary objectives • To rank psychotherapies according to their effectiveness. • To compare different ‘doses’ of the same intervention. • To explore differences between subgroups of participants and assess the impact of moderator variables on treatment outcomes.
