Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess the effectiveness of lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation used for reducing morbidity and mortality in preterm infants, to assess any adverse effects of lutein and zeaxanthin for this purpose, and to consider the effect of the supplementation in terms of route, dose and timing.
