Abstract

Many sports-related social events take place every weekend in the USA, generally in rented tents and involving sizable crowds. Such events pose several safety and security dilemmas, which can be eased by following some basic rules on secure installations and perimeter security. Since September 11th, security has been tightened further, with more checks on guests and new attention to hazards such as prepare for tent heating systems.
