Message from the President

Abstract

It seems like such a long time ago when I first joined the Board of Directors as the President-Elect. For more than two years now I have been involved in a number of activities vital to the growth and development of our profession. As I enter my second term as President, I have the rare opportunity to reflect on some of the progress, or lack thereof, on these activities. It is with this reflection in mind that I wish to discuss two important issues; Anaesthesia Assistants (AA) and the development towards a degree entry to practice. It is my hope that by the end of my term we will see some positive steps to addressing both these issues.
