MIGRACIONES, NARCOTRÁFICO Y FRONTERA. LA SITUACIÓN EN LA MACROZONA NORTE DE CHILE. 2020-2022

Abstract

Globalization and the world economy of the twenty-first century have changed the profile of traditional migratory mobility, adding new social and economic dimensions. This new physiognomy has allowed it to coincide with drug trafficking on the global stage, mainly at the crossing of international borders. The main idea of the text is based on the premise that such a situation has allowed drug trafficking to carry out its business using the routes, legal or illegal, of irregular migration for border crossings, becoming a threat to the security and control of national border crossings, especially in the northern macrozone of Chile.
