What Elements Contribute to a High-Quality Continuous Processing Submission for OPR&D?

Abstract

This editorial seeks to provide guidance to prospective OPR&D authors with respect to submissions involving continuous processing. Industrially relevant flow drivers are emphasized, along with increased attention to detail and holistic process awareness. Guidelines are provided for topics such as continuous process scale, length of operation, data collection, and claims of benefits. This is intended to improve the quality of manuscripts submitted to OPR&D and to teach the community about industrial success criteria for continuous processing.
