Abstract

This study aims to investigate the utilization of the Quizizz application in learning and examine the impacts that enhance students' learning motivation. Through a combination of observation, interviews, and documentation with eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Salatiga, the benefits of using the Quizizz application and the elements that enhance student motivation have been identified. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results indicate that the use of Quizizz is effective in increasing student engagement in the learning process through interactive quizzes. The various features provided by Quizizz, such as the use of images, videos, and audio, enrich students' learning experiences. Additionally, the time limit for answering quiz questions encourages students to think quickly and make decisions promptly. Instant feedback after completing the quiz allows students to evaluate their understanding and address weaknesses. The use of Quizizz also enhances students' learning motivation through achievements in quizzes and rewards in learning. Overall, the use of the Quizizz application creates a conducive learning environment and fulfills both intrinsic and extrinsic factors of students' learning motivation. This research confirms that Quizizz can be an effective learning tool in improving students' motivation and learning outcomes overall.
