Abstract

55 students referred to a Child Development Center for academic underachievement and suspected learning disabilities were administered the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale: Fourth Edition. Pearson product-moment correlation coefficients of .98, .95, and .90 were obtained for the Test Composite with those for 6-, 4-, and 2-test Partial Composites derived from this administration, respectively. These values are compared with coefficients reported for other populations, and the suitability of the Stanford-Binet Partial Composites for screening underachievement and learning disabilities is discussed. © Psychological Reports 1996.
