Abstract

Otogenic brain abscess is the most common cause of brain abscess in developing countries like India. Gram positive organisms were the most common etiological agents (>70%) whereas in significant number of cases (15.5%) pseudomonas was the culprit organism. As majority of the patients reported in the capsular stage, surgical excision with or without prior aspiration was the main stay of treatment.
