O arranjo como estrutura e tecido do discurso musical

Abstract

This article focuses on the attributes of a musical arrangement category which turn into information that is inseparable from the song for which it was made, thus playing a significant role in the compositional plan of the work. Planning a certain arrangement structurally and defining its sound texture that will sustain the melody are then the parameters which identify the song itself. Rogério Duprat’s arrangement for “Construção” [Construction], a song by Chico Buarque de Holanda, is the work chosen for our analysis
