Abstract

The colonial era was one of the periods which had an influence on the development in Indonesia. There are various forms of historical relics from that period such as the colonial architectural style. Buildings that have colonial architectural character can be categorized as important buildings to be preserved because they have high historical value. The study was conducted to see the distribution of colonial buildings and which areas had the highest intensity in the city of Bandung. The research method that will be used in this research is a qualitative descriptive study consisting of literature studies, field observations, and spatial analysis using the hot spot analysis (Getis-Ord gi*) method. From this research can be identified colonial buildings in Bandung city is centered in Braga as many as 15 location points. Thus it is expected to be a reference for development in the region so that the existing colonial character is not damaged or disappeared.
