Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for developing teaching materials, especially Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) for fractional numbers in grade V Elementary School. This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials that support online learning, especially the fractional number material taught in grade V elementary school. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students and fifth grade teachers at SDN 1 Cisayong, SDN 2 Cisayong, and SDN Sukarame, Tasikmalaya Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques using techniques developed by Miles and Huberman (1992). Based on preliminary studies, observations, and interviews, in general it can be described that the ability of students to perform arithmetic operations on fractions is still lacking, and teaching materials in elementary schools have not been fully optimized in the online learning process, especially teaching materials for fractions. class V, therefore it is necessary to develop a teaching material that can support the online and offline learning process. The results of this study can be used as a basis for conducting joint efforts between teachers, parents, students, and the school to be able to support the distance learning process more effectively. This can also be the basis for developing student worksheets on fractions for grade V elementary school so that they can be used in future learning activities.
