This study aimed to analyze the problems of thematic learningwith online system of SD Negeri 17 Pontianak. This is aqualitative approach with descriptive method study.Participants in this study include a teacher of Class IIIA and ateacher of Class VA who served as informants and fivestudents from Class IIIA also five students from Class VA actedas respondents. The research instrument was a humaninstrument, namely the researcher. The data collectiontechniques used are interviews, questionnaires, anddocumentation. For the data analysis technique, Miles andHuberman model which includes four stages, namely datacollection, data reduction, data display, and conclusiondrawing was used. The results showed that teachers at SDNegeri 17 Pontianak carried out thematic learning with anonline system according to the Circular Letter of the Ministryof Education and Culture. Teachers of SD Negeri 17 Pontianakalso prepare learning guidelines in form of lesson plans andsyllabus according to the school’s needs and condition. Forthe implementation of thematic learning with online system,teachers use media and methods that are different from theface-to-face learning process. There are several obstaclesfaced by teachers and students. However, teachers havestrategies to solve the obstacles.
