Abstract

Local wisdom is certain principles and methods that are adhered to, local people understand and apply them in communication and contact with their environment and as a result of the birth of living traditions, and grow with indigenous people from generation to generation. Working to shape and guide a person's behavior in a life that is wise, full of wisdom and good values ​​that are realized and followed by members of the community, even in society, are considered as one unit, defining the dignity of someone who has intelligence, knowledge and information, morality is the basis for the development of social civilization. . The powerlessness of indigenous communities to support their existence presents a serious threat to the continuation of subsequent traditions. The aim of this research is to study the values ​​of local wisdom in the Mancoliak tradition for the children of the Tamansari Indigenous Community. This research uses qualitative ethnographic methodology, collecting data through interviews. The documentation reveals that local wisdom is a religion that teaches etiquette and respect for other people.
