This chapter focuses on the Galileo signal models. We start this chapter with the single-link signal model, explaining the main tasks of GNSS signals. We then describe the main modulation classes used in Galileo, namely Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), Sine and Cosine Binary Offset Carrier Modulations (Sin/CosBOC), Multiplexed Binary Offset Carrier modulations (MBOC), and Alternate Binary Offset Carrier modulations (AltBOC). Both time-domain and frequency-domain characteristics of such signals are discussed.
